Adjustments

Well let me tell you about some of the adjustments that we have been having here in the prairies.
First, let's talk about the ticks....yes there are lots of ticks! Wood ticks.
I was told that it was a sure thing that I would be dealing with them....so I better learn how. I've been having some real practice too.
I think The Lord is trying to make me stronger. I don't even freak out! (in front of the kids anyway....) I of course do the full body shiver when the kids aren't looking... :)
A few weeks ago, Scott and I took a lovely drive in search of some type of body of water. We found a beautiful spot called Delta Beach on massive Lake Manitoba. We wanted the kids to see this too, so we set out again to show them.
It was almost horrific! We have never seen so many mosquitoes in all our lives! Georgia let out a blood curdling scream from the back seat, while Scott and I made sure the car was sealed up tight. We just sat there...jaws dropped.....everything was completely covered with them....it was like a ghost town except for a few crazies...I'm sure it was those mosquitoes that drove them there!
Next come the thunder storms. We had the mother of thunderstorms last weekend. There were massive trees down all over, flooding, hail....We had to postpone Gabe's birthday party to this Saturday because of it. They are calling for more today....This is the view from our backyard.....This may be God's country after all (Scott) lol.
Who wants to come visit?
