A New Day

Well, here we are as a family in Portage la Prairie Manitoba. Our home is actually in Southport...just south of Portage (as you might guess)
Everything for us is new!
The new family...
The kids are the new kids at school...which they love by the way...Georgia's exact words were "It's only the best school ever!"
Westpark School. We are thrilled with it so far. Great teachers, great little friends for the kids. Gabe and Georgia now are quoting new scripture that they are learning at school as part of their homework...this makes our day!
We are the new people at church....this is strange for us, having gone to the same church just about all our lives. The people here are lovely.
Pastor Nathan and his wife Tamara...who I might add has the most beautiful laugh I think I have ever heard...are great. Our children get along really nicely...Georgia is quite fond of their little daughter Acacia.
I even have a friend who takes me shopping in Winnipeg! Yeah! Her name is Wendy...what a great girl, and very sweet...I'm enjoying getting to know her.
Our home is new and just what we wanted. The Lord is so good to us. I'll add a few pictures.
We miss our friends and family from home though. The fact that they can't just pop over and visit us here makes us sad...
Most importantly...His mercies are new too...every day...
It's a little scary with all the change at times, and Scott is very busy with his flying, so I spend allot of time alone. But I feel that The Lord is really drawing me near to Himself and speaking to me as I spend time with Him.
I still bust up all the time when I think about how good He has been and is. I find myself in His presence and feel completely fulfilled, and have peace that He has us in the palm of His hand. He is building within me a trust. He has not taken us this far to take us back again (I don't mean to Halifax....He might!)
I think I'll make fish cakes for supper tonight, although I don't think I'll find any fresh fish around here...hmmm...that's new too...frozen it will be...
Hugs to you,
Angie :)
