The Living Water
As I was walking by the pond the other day, I saw this tree.
I sat under it for a while with Jesus.
This is my favorite tree.
It is not the most beautiful tree at all, but it just looks like it is reaching with everything it has for the water.
It is probably getting enough water through it's roots....but still, it wants more!
It has bent under the mighty weight of the wind...like the mighty wind of His mercy.
I feel like this tree...
My heart bends under His mighty wind...He is so Holy...so merciful and good....
Lord I have tasted of your living water, and it is so good! I must have more!
The Lord is calling for us to not just settle with "enough" but to reach...bend... with everything we are for Him.

Our Growing Warrior of God
We celebrated Gabriel's birthday on Saturday...a week later than planned as we had a massive thunder storm the day we had planned it for. Gabe had his heart set on playing hockey on the street with his friends that day.
Just to be safe for the next time we rented the gym on the base here next to our house. Everyone had so much fun.
Gabe thinks that I am a great hockey player when I play him one-on-one on the street, so I desided not to crush his thoughts of me at his party...so I just took pictures!
He is seven years old now, and such a good boy! I am getting closer to becoming the shortest in the family every day now!
Gabriel....A mighty man of God....he truely is!

Jonah
The kids have been singing Ni ni ni, ne ne ne, ni ni, ni ni, ne ne ne ne, ni ni ni Ninevehhh.... ahh, ahhhhh..... for weeks now. They were practicing for a play and the catchy tunes were contagious!
Last night was the big night.
'Jonah'
There was lots of drama, singing, excitement and yawns from the little performers! Then a beautiful solo from Georgia...the voice of an angel, like her daddy...
She was singing about God's love for her...that it will find her anywhere. Tell me my heart didn't swell up ten times it's size!
Adjustments
Well let me tell you about some of the adjustments that we have been having here in the prairies.
First, let's talk about the ticks....yes there are lots of ticks! Wood ticks.
I was told that it was a sure thing that I would be dealing with them....so I better learn how. I've been having some real practice too.
I think The Lord is trying to make me stronger. I don't even freak out! (in front of the kids anyway....) I of course do the full body shiver when the kids aren't looking... :)
A few weeks ago, Scott and I took a lovely drive in search of some type of body of water. We found a beautiful spot called Delta Beach on massive Lake Manitoba. We wanted the kids to see this too, so we set out again to show them.
It was almost horrific! We have never seen so many mosquitoes in all our lives! Georgia let out a blood curdling scream from the back seat, while Scott and I made sure the car was sealed up tight. We just sat there...jaws dropped.....everything was completely covered with them....it was like a ghost town except for a few crazies...I'm sure it was those mosquitoes that drove them there!
Next come the thunder storms. We had the mother of thunderstorms last weekend. There were massive trees down all over, flooding, hail....We had to postpone Gabe's birthday party to this Saturday because of it. They are calling for more today....This is the view from our backyard.....This may be God's country after all (Scott) lol.
